He is responsible for providing technical support to scientists and students within the Hub, and managing the training of new staff, visiting scientists and students attached to the BecA Hub. After graduating in 1996 with a National diploma in Applied biology from the Kenya Polytechnic, he took up a Technical position at the Molecular Genetics department of the National Museums of Kenya, learning routine molecular biology techniques where he worked for seven years. Moses joined the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in 2002 as a Technician in the East Coast Fever (ECF) vaccine research project. He has been involved in assembling a number of target T.parva vaccine candidate genes for the ECF project. He took up the position of Research Technician – Livestock at BecA Hub in September 2008. |
