Timothy Kingori Njoroge
Assistant Technology Manager Email: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Timothy holds a Masters of Science degree in Laboratory Techniques and Management in Livestock Development from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. While at the UK, he trained on the Modern Methods in Molecular Biology at the University of Bristol, Langford House. He also trained at the Institute of Animal Health (IAH), Pirbright on the use of the ELISA technique in disease diagnosis. Timothy benefited from a DfiD funded scholarship while working at the Kenya Trypanosomiasis Research Institute (KETRI), Muguga. Timothy has over 10 years of laboratory work experience especially in the field of Molecular biology in animal research related studies. He previously worked with ILRI from 1996-2004 as a Research Technician in the East Coast Fever p67 vaccine development project. While working with ILRI, he led the technical team that took part in the evaluation of the p67 recombinant vaccine in experimental cattle within ILRI’s laboratory controlled environment and under field natural conditions in Kilifi, Mtwapa and Kakuzi Thika. Timothy joins the BecA-ILRI Hub team from a posting in Kampala, where he served as the Operations Manager in charge of Uganda in a Medical diagnostic and distribution company. |
