BIO-EARN, the BecA Hub and CIMMYT jointly organized a workshop for 22 crop breeders from the region on Marker Assisted Breeding and Data Analysis from 12-16 October 2009. The workshop was facilitated by Kassa Semagn (CIMMYT, Molecular Breeder, hosted at the BecA Hub), Michael Kovach (PhD research fellow, McCouch lab, Cornell University), Jagger Harvey (BecA Hub research scientist), Etienne de Villiers (ILRI-BecA Hub Bioinformatics Group Leader) and Erik Bongcamm-Rudloff (Associate Professor, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences). The workshop was sponsored by BIO-EARN.
