Technology Manager ,Biosciences eastern and central Africa(BecA)-ILRI Hub

Dr. Appolinaire Djikeng is the Technology Manager at the Biosciences eastern and central Africa (BecA) Hub and leads various teams focusing on 1) the acquisition and management of laboratories technologies, 2) provision of research related services and overall laboratory management, and 3) research activities in the areas of genomics and metagenomics.

 

Prior to joining the BecA-ILRI Hub, Dr. Djikeng was an Assistant Professor at the J Craig Venter Institute in the United States. Dr. Djikeng received his B.Sc.(Hons) and M.Sc. from the University of Yaoundé I in Cameroon, and he graduated with a PhD from Brunel University in London, England. He conducted his postdoctoral research work at Yale University School of Medicine in the USA. In addition to his work at BecA, Dr. Djikeng currently teaches various courses at selected universities in Sub-Saharan Africa, specifically Ethiopia and Cameroon.
