Mary Wambugu

Mary Wambugu is the Technical Support Coordinator for the Integrated Breeding Platform (IBP) at the BecA-ILRI Hub. Her roles involve acting as a point of contact for crop breeders within the region in providing technical backstopping in the use of the IBP manager software. She also participates in training and support for the adoption and use of this program, assists in data analysis using a wide range of tools and in result interpretations.
Wambugu holds a Bsc degree in Agriculture (Crop Science) from the University of Nairobi and an Msc degree in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology from the same university. Previously, she worked at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) where she was involved in designing, planting and managing nurseries and trials and carried out data capture, data management and analysis using different statistical tools.
