Activities
In order to achieve its mission of mobilizing biosciences for Africa’s development, the BecA-ILRI Hub engages in a range of activities that are focused on enabling research to harness the potential of the biosciences to contribute to increasing agricultural productivity and improving food and nutritional safety and security; contributing to the education and training of the next generation of African agricultural research leaders and scientists; and promoting the development, delivery and adoption of new technologies to address key agricultural productivity constraints. The Hub also plays a key role of a “biosciences magnet”, connecting high-end bioscience research to capabilities already available in various national institutes and universities within the region.
